Why Reels covers matter
When someone visits your profile, your grid is the first thing they see. If every Reel shows a random blurry frame, your grid looks messy, even when the content itself is great. A consistent cover makes your profile look planned and professional.
How to fix it in five minutes
- Pick one style. For example: a clear photo, your brand colour as a strip, and a short title in your brand font.
- Keep titles short. Three to five words people can read at a glance, like “3 ways to style it”.
- Design for the grid crop. Reels are tall, but your grid shows a cropped version, so keep text and faces in the centre.
- Make a template. Save it in your design tool so every cover takes a minute, not twenty.
- Update your best old Reels. You can change the cover of a Reel after posting it, so refresh your top ones too.
Bonus tip
