How to turn one video into a week of content
One good video can become Reels, carousels, Stories, quotes and a LinkedIn post. Here’s a simple plan to get a week of content from one shoot.
Making content takes time. The good news is that one well-planned video can feed your social media for a whole week.
Before you film
- Pick one strong topic, like “5 mistakes people make when choosing a sofa”.
- Film in vertical format, with good light and clear sound.
- Capture extra clips: close-ups, reactions and behind the scenes.
Your week from one video
- Monday: the full video as a Reel.
- Tuesday: a carousel of the five points.
- Wednesday: Stories with a poll about the topic.
- Thursday: one short clip of the most useful point.
- Friday: a quote graphic of the best line.
- Saturday: behind-the-scenes clips from the shoot.
- Sunday: a LinkedIn post that tells the story behind the video.
Adapt, don’t just copy
Each platform has its own style. Rewrite captions, change the hook, and adjust the length so each version feels made for where it’s posted.
Keep a library
Save every clip in folders by topic. Over time you’ll build a library you can dip into whenever you need quick content.
